Marriage
1808 Slave Revolt of Louis van Mauritius
In 1808, Louis van Mauritius, from Cape Town, and a few companions, organised a slave rebellion[6], where they gathered slaves from farms in the Swartland, Koeberg, Blaauwberg, Koeberg areas. They also attacked the farm of Pieter van der Westhuysen, where his wife was even raped by one of the rebels.
